Ben and Katie 06.28.08

Oh what a wonderful couple! Ben and Katie couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was wonderful and the day was flawless. Katie was so stunning in her dress that Ben even shed some tears when they met (I along with them). We hit up a nearby park in Bloomington for photos before the ceremony and then afterward I was amazed with the decor at the Bloomington Art Center. The dessert table alone took my breath away! Thanks Katie and Ben for allowing me to be a part of your day!

Ceremony Location: Bloomington Baptist Church; Bloomington, MN

Riley Family Reunion

Seems to be the summer for family reunions. My good friend Lauren called and asked if I would shoot her family because they would all be together for the 4th of July. Her sister was in visiting from Tennessee and her brother and his family have just returned to the States after being in Brazil for the last few years! We had a great time together and I had great help from all the adults in trying to get all the kids (under 6) to smile and be content with the camera! After a long day, I think little Savanna was spent!

Family Reunion

I got the chance a few weeks ago to meet this entire family! Grandma had six kids and they were all together along with their families celebrating her birthday! We truly had a great afternoon for photos as well as some fun together after the shoot!

Becca and Seth 06.07.08

This was one of the weddings that I had been waiting for all season. Becca and Seth met during their years of at Taylor University in Indiana. They were engaged last fall and I got a call from Becca not too long after that. (You may recognize some of her photos from an earlier wedding that I shot in December when her sister Sarah was married.) A stunning couple and an energetic wedding party made my job not only fun and easy, but I felt as if I were a part of the family! It was a wedding with many well thought out details; everything from the yellow parasols, hand-made jewelry by a best friend's aunt, a six-pence on her shoe for good luck, ice cream sundae desserts, and a surprise song during the reception by the talented groom and his brothers. Millers and Pietrini's, hope this ties you over until the mega gallery comes! This is only a foretaste of what's to come. (If you ever need me to come shoot a wedding or family shoot, let me know!) Many blessings to all of you and a sweet blessing to you Becca and Seth. Thanks for letting me be a special part of your day!
